Ephesians 2:8-10 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. |

Participating in the mission trip to Priluki Ukraine was the one of the best things I have ever experienced in my life. It was such a privilege to see the Lord working in such a mighty way. I couldn't help but compare on the way back home why a mission trip is better than a vacation. I believe that I would be willing to trade any future vacations for another opportunity to go out on another mission. What was most encouraging to me was that each day, our focus for that day, was to lift of the name of Jesus and proclaim the message of His love and salvation to all people. True, this should be the focus of our lives at home but the distractions of this world, television, radio, cell-phones, pagers, email, etc. are in such competition for our attention. It was so fulfilling to completely dedicate our day to the Lord. The awesome thing is that, just by our willingness to do this, we had eyes to see God's amazing saving grace touching the lives of these people for it was certainly the power of His Spirit working and touching the hearts of the people. I know that God can work the same way here if we were to commit wholeheartedly to sharing the message of His gospel as we did while in Ukraine. Our prayer is that we will not return to our lives, as we knew them when we left for Ukraine. Rather that we would continue to make ourselves available to the Lord's work as it is truly His desire that none should be lost and that all men should be saved through the sacrificial blood of Christ Jesus.
